19thC French Louis XVI style MahoganyTwo-Door Bookcase Display Vitrine Cabinet with Bronze Detailing

This is a 19th century two-door bookcase, vitrine dating to circa 1870 in the French Louis XVI revival style with Napoleon III Empire style elements
- Can be taken apart
- Made in solid mahogany and veneered, excellent colour and finish 
-  All hand built and finished with stunning brass bronze banding and golden highlights
- It opens on the front with two glass doors with a solid part at the bottom.
-  Feature the original blown glass which ripple in the light and is evidenced by waves and an occasional bubbles
- On each side of this display case, there is a column with a brass ring at the top and bottom and inlaid flutes
- Raised on tapering circular section legs with bronze toes
- Working lock with top and bottom hooks, supplied with its original key and slide mechanism
- The interior is made of solid mahogany with four adjustable shelves  which have their edges embellished with a half-round brass rod. All 2 cm thick, offers an equal depth of 29 cm.
- This chic and elegant cabinet has a great quality of design and craftsmanship of the highest level
- Excellent condition. Cleaned, waxed and polished 
 
Provenance:  Villa of a former factory owner in Gand, Belgium. The interior wal lined in rose colored fabric which we removed
