P.E.L. IJzeren had acquired a reputation as designer of 'well designed' furniture, of which the drawings were placed in the specialised literature without royalty. Since 1927 he published in the Interior magazine series 'Moderne ontwerpen voor massa-meubelen. Vrij ter Uitvoering!' In doing so, he was not alone! Also a designer as Frits Spanjaar designed among other the famous colour bock table carpet for on the weaving loom. Contemporarily substantial prices are paid for this.
